The 10th edition of Omloop Het Nieuwsblad Elite Women promises to be exciting. Anna van der Breggen (Rabo Liv) will be on the start line to defend her title but it won't be an easy task.
World Champion Lizzie Armitstead (Boels Dolmans) will begin her season at the Belgian-season opener and has stated that she aims to win this year. There will also be former winners of the race in attendance including Tiffany Cromwell (Canyon-SRAM) and Amy Pieters (Wiggle High5), who will be looking to stand on the top step of the podium again.
Anna van der Breggen (Rabo Liv) scored the win in the women’s edition of the 2015 Omloop Het Nieuwsblad after a two-up sprint with Eleonora Van Dijk (Boels Dolmans). Lizzie Armitstead (Boels Dolmans) won the group sprint for third place.
