Stage 15 saw Remco Evenepoel claim his maiden road stage victory outside of a time trial, beating Tadej Pogačar and Isaac Del Toro to the summit of Plateau de Solaison. However, it was also a sombre day for the race as Jonas Vingegaard crashed on the final descent, forcing him to abandon with a broken collarbone.
