Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) made it a hat-trick of victories as she claimed the overall title at the Tour de Pologne Women on Sunday, dominating the sprint into Lublin to make it three wins from three days of racing in Poland.
Lotte Kopecky completed the final lead-out for the Dutch sprinter with a massive turn on the front, allowing Wiebes to charge to the line in front of Elisa Balsamo (Lidl-Trek) and Lara Gillespie (UAE ADQ).
The pair finished well for second and third, respectively, but were unable to even come alongside Wiebes as she stormed to the line. Chiara Consonni (Canyon-SRAM) was the only other rider in the TV shot after the bunch finish, taking fourth, with everyone else gapped.
SD Worx-Protime took full control in the final 5km after chasing down the strong two-rider breakaway of Bodine Vollering (VolkerWessels) and Marta Pavesi (Top Girls Fassa Bortolo), who lasted in front for almost all of the final 70km.
Wiebes took home the GC title with a winning gap of 20 seconds to Balsamo, with Gillespie taking third overall, 23 seconds down on the SD Worx star. With the stage and overall wins, Wiebes took the 130th and 131st wins of her already stunning career.
