Wout van Aert's series of successive victories at the 2026 Tour of Denmark was halted on stage 4 as young Norwegian Storm Ingebritsen (Uno-X Mobility) attacked away from his early breakaway companions to take an unlikely win.

Ingebritsen made it into a move mid-way through the stage alongside six others, building a lead of two-and-a-half minutes with 25km to go. That lead was just ten seconds heading into the last 3km as Ingebritsen accelerated.
