US Road Championships: Enzo Hincapie solos to victory in Junior Men's road race
Smith, Duran round out podium in Charleston
On the first day of the road races in the USA Cycling Pro Road National Championships, Enzo Hincapie (Grenke - Auto Eder) soloed to victory in the Junior Men's race.
Kaison Smith (EF Education-ONTO) chased in for second place, 50 seconds behind, while Diego Duran won the sprint for third.
Hincapie was part of a four-rider attack that went clear on lap five of seven, along with Angus McDonnell (En Piste), Cormac Nagle (Hot Tubes), and Egan Little (Velosport), but dropped his companions ahead of the final lap.
Smith was part of a chasing group with time trial champion Kash Adamski (Hot Tubes) and Duran, but escape on the final lap to solo in for second.
