Strade Bianche – Gallery

WorldTour racing officially restarted at the men's and women's Strade Bianche on August 1 in Italy. The opening event did not disappoint as Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma) and current road race world champion Annemiek van Vleuten (Mitchelton-Scott) claimed solo victories on the Piazza del Campo in Siena.

Normally held in the cooler month of March, this year's Strade Bianche was moved to August 1 as part of the revised WorldTour calendar, which was forced due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The men's and women's pelotons lined up under warmer summer temperatures that reached as high as 40°C, which made for a hot, dry and dusty edition of Strade Bianche.
