Max Schachmann (Bora-Hansgrohe) claimed a repeat overall victory in Paris-Nice after Primoz Roglic's (Jumbo-Visma) solid 35-second lead in the standings evaporated on the frantic final stage.
Organisers were forced to rework the route for the final day of racing, changing the Nice circuit to a shorter, technical circuit finishing in Levens, making for a furious 92.7km day of racing.
Roglic crashed twice on the stage and although he finished, he tumbled out of the top 10 leaving Schachmann atop the standings ahead of Astana-Premier Tech's Aleksandr Vlasov and Ion Izagirre.
