Tour de France Femmes 2025 - Stage 4 preview
July 29, 2025: Saumur to Poitiers, 128km

Stage 4 of the Tour de France Femmes takes the peloton further south and east into central France, from Saumur to Poitiers, for a total of 128km on another largely flat parcours.
There is only one climb during stage, over the Côte de Marigny (900m at 5.4%) after 101km. It comes just 13km after the intermediate sprint in Soudun and so could perhaps spark a late attack.
The final kilometres into Poitiers include some rolling roads but surely not enough to hurt the sprinters. Of course, crashes could again be a factor as the peloton fight for position and the roads change direction.
Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx-Protime) will be the favourite for a second consecutive victory after dominant sprint victory in Angers on Monday. She will swap her European champion's jersey for the green points jersey for stage 4.
Stage 1 winner Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike) is back in the leader's yellow jersey for stage 3 and could also be a contender for the stage. It will be interesting to see how Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez) feels after her late crash on stage 3.
Climbs
- Côte de Marigny (900m at 5.4%), 101.6km
