Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2018

Bob Jungels (Quick-Step Floors) won Liège-Bastogne-Liège on Sunday in Ans, just the third rider from Luxembourg to ever win the Monument. The 25-year-old took a solo victory ahead of a chase group sprint won by Michael Woods (EF Education First-Drapac) and Romain Bardet (AG2R La Mondiale). Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Floors) finished fourth.

The Ardennes triptych - and the Spring Classics - came to a close with Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Known as La Doyenne, the race is the oldest of all the Classics, having first been contested back in 1892, and it is the fourth of five Monuments in the season. It also widely regarded as the toughest, thanks to its succession of punishing climbs.
