Lauren Dickson has been forced to abandon the Tour de Suisse Women after fracturing her collarbone in a crash that happened during the final kilometres of stage 3 into Bad Ragaz on Friday.
Dickson crashed with four kilometres remaining in the 120.8km race, and while she got back up and finished in 87th place, given the same time as eventual stage winner Zoe Bäckstedt (Canyon-SRAM), she was later taken to the hospital for treatment and will not start stage 4 on Saturday.
"After her crash in the final kilometres of the third stage of the Tour de Suisse Women, Lauren Dickson was taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with a broken collarbone," FDJ United-SUEZ wrote in an official medical update.

"Our medical staff is following her recovery process, and we wish Lauren a good recovery."
The 26-year-old has had many strong performances in her first season with FDJ United-SUEZ this year, finishing second overall at Vuelta a Extremadura Femenina, third overall at Itzulia Women, fourth at Durango Emakumeen Saria, and three top 10s in stages and 11th overall at the Giro d'Italia, while her teammate Demi Vollering went on to take the victory.
At the Tour de Suisse Women, she was off to a great start, finishing second on the opening stage into Sondrio and seventh on the second stage into Locarno, and started stage 3 in second overall behind race leader Elisa Longo Borghini (UAE Team ADQ).
With only two stages to go: the stage 4 time trial in Aarburg and the stage 5 finale to Villars-sur-Ollon, Dickson was poised for another strong overall performance. She will undoubtedly turn her attention to events held later in the summer months.
FDJ United-SUEZ has not yet indicated how long her recovery will take to return to full health and the peloton.
