Night 6 - January 26, 2000 Silvio Martinello and Andreas Kappes finally won the Stuttgart six days, thus ending the season with three victories together. A new super pair has obviously been formed. Three other pairs ended on the same lap with overnight leaders Baffi and Villa closest but still at a comfortable distance, 13 points away. The German pair Dörich and Weisspfennig took a surprising third place and Jimmi Madsen came in fourth with his German partner Jens Lehmann. This race has shown some constellations moving up from also-ran level to higher positions. Germans Fulst and Rund were only a lap behind and World Champions Llanedras and Galvez another lap down. Bruno Risi, who started out well with his substitute partner Andrea Collinelli abandoned the last evening and so did Lars Teutenberg, so Collinelli and Andreas Beikirch made up a new pair for the final evening.
