This stage is punctuated by climbs at regular intervals, with three cat 2 passes and another climb to the finish in Lagos de Covadonga. It's in the Asturias, so watch for those riders wanting to make an impression and put on a show for the loyal fans gathered on this mountain range. It's definitely up-down stuff; multiple attacks all day from those looking for glory wouldn't be a surprise and it's definitely a stage where someone could make a name for themselves.
