Vigo will host the start of the Vuelta a España for the third time, the last being 40 years ago. The Galician city will see the start and the end of the 146.4-kilometre stage one.
Two category three altos will award the first points for the mountain's classification but due to their early appearance they will not likely split and the fans that saw the riders depart at a quarter 'til two should see a bunch sprint in Vigo.
