'Race of the Two Seas' welcomes riders targeting Milan-San Remo
Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck-QuickStep) won stage 6 of Tirreno-Adriatico after sprinting to victory ahead of Davide Cimolai (Israel Cycling Academy), while his teammate Elia Viviani came from further back to finish third on the day.
Adam Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) leads the overall classification into the stage 7's 10.1km time trial in San Benedetto del Tronto, which will close out the 2019 Tirreno-Adriatico.
Yates leads Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) by 25 seconds and Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) by 35 seconds. Time trial specialist Tom Dumoulin (Sunweb) trails in fourth place at 1:55 back.
