Proceeds will benefit South African children
Bike Pure is auctioning the autographed rainbow jersey of current World Champion Christoph Sauser (Specialized Factory Racing) to benefit the Songo.info charity which Sauser backs.
The World Championship jersey, won in June of 2008 in Val di Sole, Italy, spent the past year travelling on display as a symbol of the Bike Pure's efforts to promote clean, doping-free cycling.
Sauser has spent the past seven winters in South Africa and last year decided to back Songo.info to support the children of Kayamandi via sport and education. The charity uses sport to cross the barrier between education and play and to broaden the life skills of the children with the goal of keeping them off the path of drugs and crime.
The autographed jersey is framed (37 x 28 inches / 93 x 71 cm) and includes a caption that reads "Christoph Sauser (Team Specialized), 2008 World Mountain Bike Champion to Bike Pure"
All proceeds from the auction, which ends August 17, will go to Songo.info.
