Another up and down day, with two cat 1 and two cat 3 climbs - most teams will be hard at it all day, getting their GC riders in just the right spot to capitalise on a tiring peloton after almost a week's worth of climbing action. This stage may be crucial to the chances of success for those vying for an overall win, and with a cat 1 climb to the finish in Valgrande Pajares, the rider sitting on top of GC by day's end could carry the golden fleece all the way to Madrid. But then again...it is the Vuelta!
