The South American country of Venezuela will host this year's Junior Pan-American Championships between July 16-23, the Venezuelan cycling federation has confirmed. Venezuela got the nod after Guatemala and two other countries declined. The Championships are considered important in light of the Junior World Championships in Austria in August.
Both track and road events will be contested, with the track racing being run on the Héctor Alvarado velodrome and the road being conducted on the highways in the state of Lara.
