The ever popular Cyclingnews podcasts have reached critical mass during the Tour de France, thanks to the work of Procycling's Ellis Bacon and Daniel Friebe who have teamed up with cycling writer Richard Moore to bring you daily updates from the race.

The podcasts, sponsored by Rapha cycle wear, are packed with insightful and witty analysis, rider interviews and press conference quotes, a daily competition, and the unloading of trucks for authenticity, although we have now toned those down for listenability.

Stage 4's podcast from the team time trial is a cracker. Ellis, Dan and Richard are joined by Brendan Glover from the Telegraph to discuss where it all went wrong for, well, everyone except Astana and Saxo Bank. Whither, Denis Menchov and Cadel Evans. And why did four members of the BBOX Bouygues Telecom team decide to go hunting wildebeest midway through the stage?

We've also got some words from Lance himself on team leadership within Astana - listen for the use of the word 'might' - and an apology to the place getters in last year's Tour, who he was not very sparaging about recently. Plus, the folding bikes finally put in an 'appearance'.

You can subscribe to the podcasts via iTunes (or just go to iTunes and search for 'cyclingnews') or via this XML feed: http://video.cyclingnews.com/podcasts/cn_podcast.xml. You can also download the podcasts directly by visiting http://video.cyclingnews.com/podcasts/tdf/.
