Stage 4 is an exact repeat of the 2005 parcours. The 170.3 kilometres have one difficulty, the category three Alto de la Sierra De Cardeña. But three years ago it was sprint king Alessandro Petacchi who took the stage and there is little indication that 2008 won't see another bunch gallop into Puertollano.
Puertollano used to be a coal mining town in the Castilla-La Mancha region, but is now trying to boost solar panels, among other things.
