The final day of the 2006 Tour de Suisse is an undulating time trial from Kerzers to Bern and should guarantee an exciting finale to the race. Jan Ullrich snatched victory on the final day two years ago (also over 30 kilometres) and, if he is in contention at this point, may do so again. The list of others likely to place highly on the stage includes Cadel Evans, Michael Rogers and Bradley McGee.
