Fischer wins Romagna in sprint
Brazilian Fischer takes Giro della Romagna sprint ahead of Rossi and Gavazzi
Brazilian Murilo Fischer (Liquigas) won the Giro della Romagna today in Lugo, Italy. He out-sprinted of Italians Enrico Rossi (Ceramica Flaminia) Rossi and Francesco Gavazzi (Lampre-NGC).
The 84th Giro della Romagna started and ended in Emilia-Romagna's Lugo, 195.6 kilometres. It covered climbs Calbane and Monte Carla twice each as part of two mid-race circuits.
The Monte Casale (494m) was the race's highest climb, at 44.1 kilometres to race. It left Calbane, for a third time, and the Vernelli climb at 18 kilometres to race.
Italy's Enrico Gasparotto (Lampre-NGC) won the race in 2008. He skipped the race this year because he is racing at the Vuelta a España.
