Dutch squad fight back to silver medal in Worlds mixed relay TTT

After sweeping to victory in the first-ever mixed relay team time trial at the UCI Road World Championships in Harrogate two years ago, the Dutch squad were among the favourites once again as riders took to the longer 44.5-kilometre course in Flanders on Wednesday.

Returning to defend their title were Jos van Emden, Riejanne Markus, Bauke Mollema and Koen Bouwman, while individual time trial champion Ellen van Dijk and two-time former World Champion Annemiek van Vleuten also stepped into the fold.
