Jacob Kauffmann (Budget Forklifts) won the second stage at the Tour de Singkarak with his teammate Karl Evans close behind, riding into second-place at the tour's namesake Lake at the end of the 124.5km race. Kauffmann and Evans attacked from the field with approximately 15km remaining and immediately built their winning gap. At the finish it was Kauffmann who crossed the line ahead of teammate Evans to claim his first international victory.

"Super super stoked to get my first big win today at tour of singkarak st 2! Boys were so strong all day," said Kauffmann on Twitter.

Hossein Askari and his Tabriz Petrochemical Team were briefly put under pressure by the Budget duo with Kauffmann having finished fourth on the opening day of racing. Askari crossed the finish line at Lake Singkarak with what was left of the main field to retain his overall lead.
