Stroetinga claims second victory in a row in Gendringen

Wim Stroetinga (Ubbink – Koga) was the strongest rider of the bunch again, winning his second stage in a row at the Olympia's Tour. Stroetinga finished ahead of Luke Rowe (National Team Great Britain) and Barry Markus (Rabobank CT).

Stroetinga seemed to win the bunch sprint with ease but the sprinter himself said that was not quite the case.

"I had come from a long way back, so it was hard to get to the line," he admitted. "But honestly, I was not as strong as yesterday. But even if I'm slightly less, I was still able to get the win."

The third stage was hectic, with riders again battling the windy conditions. The day was marred by several crashed, none of which resulted in serious injury.
