Brennauer wins final stage at Albstadt-Frauen-Etappenrennen

Equipe Nürnberger Versicherung dominated the last day of the Albstadt-Frauen-Etappenrennen, as Charlotte Becker took the overall title and Lisa Brennauer took the final stage, and also finished second overall.

To top off the team's extensive list of results, Brennauer also won the best young rider classification.

It was the fourth consecutive Equipe win in the race. Trixi Worrack had won the race from 2006 to 2008.

"The girls did that really well,” said Jochen Dornbusch, the team's Sport Director. "I am totally satisfied with these results. Two stage wins and the double success n the overall rankings underline our team's will to win in this wonderful race."

Becker, who finished second last year behind Worrack, was able to secure the overall title with a good stage finish. Brennauer won the stage in a sprint, set up by Becker.

The two set the basis for their double victory in Saturday's second stage. Becker won that 90 kilometre stage in a solo effort. Brennauer came in second, leading the peloton in 1:09 later.
