It doesn't take too much to convince a person that Bradley Wiggins has been the revelation of this year's Tour. It might have even taken some of his fellow riders a few days on the roads of France to become accustomed to his new role as Grand Tour contender.
Ask the man himself and he'll tell you straight up it ain't easy, but Wiggins is there and he's looking strong. A little less than twelve months ago, he was seven kilograms heavier and racing to gold on the track in Beijing. With five stages to go in this year's Tour de France, he's sitting in third place on general classification. The only two men ahead of him have both won the race.
Not bad company, not bad company at all.
