Thousands to race Mountain Mayhem
24-hour race celebrates 12th year
The UK's toughest 24-hour mountain bike endurance event will return to Herefordshire for its 12th year on June 19-21. The Original Source Mountain Mayhem will be run over the grounds of Eastnor Castle, Deer Park in Ledbury, over a nine-mile circuit.
The event will kick off at 2:00 pm on Saturday, with 2,500 starting off with a one-mile run to their mountain bikes. Running throughout the night, the event will finish at Eastnor Castle at 2:00 pm on Sunday.
Organizers expect a crowd of 15,000 spectators to watch the muddy mayhem, part of a weekend of events including a Dirt Demo, expo and children's skills course.
