His team doctor suspected him of having an inflammation of the lungs, but a scan carried out on Friday morning in the Aix-en-Provence hospital revealed no signs of an inflammation. This, Tankink will start the 13th stage, but it is still doubtful whether he will make it through the Pyrenees on the weekend.
