Kiserlovski out of Vuelta, Viganò still in

Fuji-Servetto had both good news and bad news to report on Wednesday, after two of its riders were injured in a massive crash towards the end of the fourth stage at the Vuelta a España.

Youngster Robert Kiserlovski had to leave the race with a broken collarbone, but David Viganò will be able to continue racing. Both were involved in the massive pile-up that occurred just inside the 3 kilometre-to-go marker.

Kiserlovski, 23, is expected to undergo surgery this evening. The young Croatian joined the Spanish-based team in June, from Professional Continental team Amica Chips-Knauf. He was making his Grand Tour debut and the team was counting on his climbing abilities later in the race.

Viganò, 25, was first feared to have broken his left elbow, but x-rays showed no fracture. Although he still is suffering from pain on his entire left side Viganò plans to be at the start of the Vuelta's fifth stage on Thursday.
