Biography:

Keegan Swenson, born February 16, 1994, grew up on a mountain bike riding in and around Park City, Utah and had won a US junior national cross-country title at 15 and was competing in World Cup competitions by age 17. He began his professional racing career in 2012 with the Cannondale Factory Racing team in 2012. Two years later he won a US U23 XCO National Championship.

As he continue with mountain bike World Cups overseas, he also competed in the US at endurance MTB events, like the Park City Point-to-Point, which he won in 2016, and Whiskey Off-road 50, going third that same year. He won his first elite men's XCO national title in 2019, and had his eyes on qualifying for Team USA's MTB squad for the Tokyo Olympic Games. However, he did not earn enough qualifying points when his racing was disrupted for the entire 2020 season due to the global pandemic.

He refocused in 2021 to competitions near home, winning his first Leadville Trail 100 MTB and earning double golds at US Mountain Bike Nationals in XCC and XCO. The next year was the debut for the Life Time Grand Prix, and Swenson went on a full assault of the gravel and MTB events in the series, winning the title for elite men across the first three seasons, 2022-2024. Among his top results in those three years included winning Unbound Gravel 200 in 2023, sweeping Leadville Trail 100 MTB each time, and going fifth at the inaugural UCI Gravel World Championships. In 2022 he was selected for the US elite men's squad and competed at UCI Road World Championships in Australia.

In 2025, Swenson won a rainbow jersey in the elite men's UCI Marathon Mountain Bike World Championships in Switzerland. He would finish fourth in the Life Time Grand Prix series at the end of the season.

After five seasons with Santa Cruz htSQD off-road team, Swenson moved to Specialized Off-road for the 2026 season.
