The Sea Otter Classic is one of the most popular events on the US calendar among amateur and elite racers. Although this year's race conflicts with the opening round of the UCI World Cup, plenty of elite North Americans, who don't want to make the trip to South Africa for the World Cup, will be on hand to contest the cross country and downhill and the crowd pleasing short track and dual slalom races.
