A crash in the Tour of Poland now finally does mean the end of the season for Thomas Dekker. During further examinations on Friday in a hospital in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, the Rabobank rider was diagnosed with a broken bone in his hand (os naviculare). Originally, a broken wrist was wrongly feared.
Thomas Dekker’s left hand has been put in a plaster cast, which he will have to wear for six weeks. This means that Dekker will have to miss out on the World Championships later this month in Salzburg, Austria.
