IFEMA, the Madrid exhibition and convention park, has become the main sponsor for the Vuelta a Espana (Tour of Spain) in a deal announced yesterday by Vuelta organizer Unipublic.
IFEMA will sponsor the Vuelta's gold leader jersey, taking the spot equivalent to Credit Lyonnais' headline sponsorship of the Tour de France. IFEMA will therefore feature prominently on Vuelta banners, podium and ruder numbers.
