Juan Antonio Flecha (Fassa Bortolo) was surprisingly upbeat about finishing second behind Mattan. "No, I'm not disappointed," he told Sporza. "Mattan was ordinarily the strongest. For the public, that's nice, but also for me it was a really nice race. It was really extremely hard, with the wind and the hills. But now I am so much the stronger for Sunday, in Roubaix."
