Biography:
Paul Seixas is one of France's brightest talents in recent years, and turned pro at the age of 18 with Decathlon CMA CGM in 2025. After winning the Tour de l'Avenir in his neo-pro year, Seixas began an impressive 2026 campaign, winning a stage of the Volta ao Algarve and then won the Faun-Ardèche Classic with an impressive solo attack.
Seixas then finished second to Tadej Pogačar in Strade Bianche and won three stages and the overall Itzulia Basque Country stage race. A victory in La Flèche Wallonne cemented comparisons between the Frenchman and the world champion, who then went head-to-head in Liège-Bastogne-Liège. While Seixas couldn't match the Slovenian in the race, he held on for second place in his debut.
Seixas was selected for the Tour de France in a surprise announcement, and has garnered immense attention in the media as the country hopes for their first home winner since Bernard Hinault in 1985.
