Latest News from the Race
Alexey Lutsenko (Astana) had a relatively relaxed day in the leader's jersey at the Tour of Oman to seal overall victory. The final day sprint victory went to Alexander Kristoff with stage 1 winner Bryan Coquard (Vital Concept) in second place.
Lutsenko moved into the race lead following his second-place finish to Astana teammate Miguel Angel Lopez on Green Mountain. The former U23 world champion well looked after on the stage by his teammates for his first GC win since the Tour of Hainan in 2016.
Although the final day finished in a bunch sprint, the final stage wasn't without intrigue as Adam Blythe was disqualified for an 'irregular bike change'.
