Hepburn takes first yellow jersey

Michael Hepburn (Australia) won the prologue in the Tour de l’Avenir in Yutz, France. Covering the 6.6km course, Hepburn set a time faster than all 107 other competitors to take the race’s first yellow jersey.

The first rider off set a time of 8:41. However riders were soon posting times around 7:30. Only two riders were able to go sub-7:30, track specialist Rohan Dennis, who posted 7:17 and teammate Michael Hepburn, winning in a time of 7:13.
