Thomas Dekker is the third rider to attempt the hour record in 2015. Having seen Jack Bobridge fall 500 metres short of Matthias Brändle's record of 51.852 kilometres, Dekker will need to better the new record of 52.491 kilometres set by Rohan Dennis on February 8.
Dekker will have the advantage of making his attempt at altitude in Aguascalientes, 1800 metres above sea level.
