Rudy Pevenage, future director sportif for the T-Mobile team, confirmed that Jan Ullrich may ride the Giro next year as part of his preparation for the Tour de France. "It's an option," he told the German BILD magazine, and noted that "Ivan Basso rode the Giro this year and then was second in the Tour."
