Ullrich announces contract is ended

Jan Ullrich says that it is not true that he has accepted his dismissal from T-Mobile Team, and that on the contrary, he and the team have reached an agreement to cancel his contract. All documents have been signed, he says, but both sides have agreed not to comment on the contents. T-Mobile could not be reached for comment.

The German media had reported over the weekend that Ullrich had accepted the dismissal and would not pursue it further, thus losing potentially millions of Euros. Allegedly, remarks by Ullrich's manager, Wolfgang Strohband, indicating that Ullrich would never again ride for T-Mobile, killed the talks.
