Ineos Grenadiers performance manager Rod Ellingworth has dismissed the recent swirl of rumours surrounding the team as “non-stories”, insisting that both team boss Dave Brailsford and Giro d’Italia champion Egan Bernal are “not going anywhere”.

Brailsford’s future was called into question after reports in the Italian press suggested he is set to leave his long-standing role as team principal in order to take charge of sponsor Ineos’ wider sporting project.
