Interbike 2012: Oakley release new casual eyewear models

This article originally appeared on BikeRadar.

In addition to the new Radarlock and Crosslink we showed you back in March, Oakley is also bolstering its range of women's crossover eyewear for 2013. Five new models are intended to serve both casual and performance needs with eye-catching styling but functional accents like grippy Unobtainium inserts in the earstems and nosepieces.

The Warmup (US$120-170 depending on lens) features large-coverage lenses but an ultralight weight. The Break Point (US$130-180), on the other hand, sports a similar size but a more squared-off look and thicker-gauge frame.

The new Forehand (US$120-170) looks to be a more evolved version of Oakley's evergreen Frogskins glasses with a minimally curved frame and classic shape. For those seeking a more Jackie O look, though, there's the new Backhand (US$120-170) with giant lenses and a distinctively retro appearance.

Finally, the new Twentysix.2 (US$130-180) expands on the retro theme with an aviator-look shape but with softened lines and more modern colors.

Oakley showed off two new men's casual performance models as well. The new Big Taco (US$120-180) is built with large-format lenses in a modern, squared-off style while the new Garage Rock (US$120-170) looks to be more of a cross between the current Jupiter and Frogskins models with its more retro shape.

Naturally, all of the new glasses will be offered in multiple frame colors and lens tints when they arrive in stores October 1.

Oakley's new Garage Rock looks to be a more modern offshoot of the evergreen Frogskins.
