The Santa Cruz County Cycling Club (SCCCC) has announced the third annual "Peak Season cyclo-cross series," held in Santa Cruz County, California. Peak Season 'cross is the equivalent of surfing's big wave contests, where the events are only held when conditions are right. Most of the cyclo-cross season in Northern California is taken up by very un-'cross-like conditions (sunny and warm), but Peak Season waits until the conditions are right for 'cross - the wet and cool NorCal winter.
