Olaf Pollack expects to be back on the bike in 10 days, after a successful operation on his collarbone, which was broken in two places. "I'm doing slowly better," he said. "Fortunately the operation went fine."
Pollack crashed shortly before the finish line Wednesday in the first stage of the Niedersachsen Rundfahrt.
"That was the second broken collarbone in my career. The first one was in a training crash 17 years ago, said the 33-year-old. "I think that I will be back by the end of May, in the Neuseen Classics or the International Bayern Rundfahrt.
