Former professional cyclist Theo Middelkamp passed away at 91 years of age. Middelkamp was the first Dutchman to win a Tour de France stage - in 1936, and also the first Dutchman to win a World Road Championship - in 1947. In the 30s and 40s, he won several Dutch National championships.
