LeMond Inc is set up

Tour de France winner Greg LeMond has launched a new company LeMond Inc. The brand will specialise in innovative cycling products with the LeMond Revoluton Indoor Training becoming the flagship product. The trainer is used by the Garmin-Sharp professional cycling team.

LeMond plans to release a line of Revolution compatible accessories designed by Greg and his inspired ensemble of innovators. “For the last 30 years I have been passionate about design and technology. This new company gives me the opportunity to dream again. For starters, I am excited to bring LeMond to Minneapolis. The community here is full of engineers, developers, and designers with a serious passion for cycling and I really look forward to drawing from this deep talent pool."

"The Revolution trainer will serve as our foundation," said LeMond, who won the Tour de France in 1986, 1989 and 1990, and was also the pro world road race champion twice.

"We plan to change the way all cyclists relate to cycling, starting with indoor trainers,” said LeMond. “As we create new products, our goal will be the integration of the cycling experience in all of its forms. Cycling is going through a dramatic transition and we are ready to step up and play a role in its future. This future is bright and LeMond will be there with the products to make our cycling experiences more meaningful, successful, and safe."

LeMond has become increasingly vocal in cycling over the last few months. He became a member of the Change Cycling Now lobby group last year, and was initially touted as a candidate for the UCI presidency. He has called for the current UCI President Pat McQuaid to stand down.

Remember LA has never tested positive but came forward. GLM is the only recent Tour winner that hasn’t. Just think about what he is saying from a statistical point of view. Greg would be the first cyclist in 100 years not to use PEDs. I also believe in “Fairy Tales”.

I soo like the way he made the big recovery on that stage one time at the Giro, so unsuspicius and sooo not like that recovery Landis made that one time. Maybe it is time for him to come out of the closet too.

It is a disgrace that those who were true victims are trashed and the jackass Armstrong was your hero. What the hell is ok about that? Good grief. No good deed goes unpunished and crimes are lauded. What is wrong with that picture. I rode with him. I know him. You sir do not.

Capitalism at its best.... People now need to question Greg motives over the 6 months. Question: Do you really think Greg wound have started a "new" venture without the recent media? I think not.

DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT CYCLING HISTORY? COZ I SUGGEST YOU START LEARNING. “I say they’re just fucking wankers,” Wiggins said. “I cannot be doing with people like that. It justifies their own bone idleness because they can’t imagine applying themselves to do anything in their lives. “It’s easy for them to sit under a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of shit,” Wiggins added, “rather than get off their own arses in their own lives and apply themselves and work hard at something and achieve something. And that’s ultimately what counts. C**ts.”

"Armstrong destroyed his bicycle company" And Lance tried to ruin his life as well... Now he can try and re-build his business up. He is still la champion and he was never brow-beaten by Lance. Greg stood up to him. Huge respect for Greg LeMond!

If he has a trade in your old Trek for a new LeMond program, I'm in....

kom_n91....probably better if you understand cycling history and read a bit more widely before throwing stones at cycling legends...read some books...learn a bit...then come back and criticise...you r one of the anonymous many that Brad referred to in the ***** speech. Greg was a Talent who had a business destroyed by LA....TREK need to apologise and hang their head in shame.......as do you for your own petty, bigoted, short term ideas about CYCLISTS such as GLM.

Trek owes him nothing anymore. They settled out of court and Trek donated funds to a charity of Greg's choice. That story is now closed. Move it along please.

Lemond Fitness wasn't destroyed by Armstrong. Lemond profited immensely from his relationship with Trek, personally profiting $5M. In 1999, sales of Lemond bikes had grown to $9.5M and by 2008, the brand’s current annual sales were about $15 million and Trek was selling about 12,000 LeMond bikes each year. Trek also invested millions to design and produce carbon Lemonds. Yep - that sounds like a business that was in the process of being destroyed.

Funny what comes out if you read a bit more WIDELY before throwing stones at cycling legends......... Greg was a talent who stood on the podium whilst all around him have fallen by the way of admissions not possitive testing..... Greg does not have a the palmares of a good business champion however, despite what you believe the circumstance behind the failures are, a good businessman does not put his company into that kind of situation.

what utter horse crap. Lemond is neither a hero nor a selfish bastard like Armstrong. Just a fallible but decent clean talented athlete who once said we athletes don't deserve the status of a teacher nor parent nor fireman. I was dedicated and worked hard and had good genes. Does that sound like the whole Armstrong lie to make millions crap, no!

Designed by Greg? Never heard of a single product designed by Greg. Wonder where CN got that info. Zecarioca seems to be in the know because I can’t think of one business that did not end in lawsuit or his threatening a lawsuit. The trainer was part of LeMond Fitness that Greg drove into the ground. He took millions while screwing the investors. Greg had to BEG Hoist to take the trainer with its purchase of the fitness products and get the trainer out of LeMond Fitness as it was about to go bankrupt. Just another part of the LeMond Fitness deal that screwed the investors even more. Lance has nothing to do with this one. Greg did it all on his own.
