The ninth running of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad-Elite Women looks set to be another fiercely contested affair with several former winners pinning on race numbers. The last three winners of the race, Tiff Cromwell (Velocio-SRAM), Amy Pieters (Liv-Plantur) and Loes Gunnewijk (Orica-AIS), will be riders to watch and capable of challenging for the win.
The first cobbled classic of the season is generally raced in bad weather and along with the distance and parcours, ensures riders must earn the victory.
