Vuelta a España standings 2025 – general classification after stage 19
Jonas Vingegaard extends lead by an additional four seconds with surprise intermediate time bonus sprint victory

Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) continues to top the GC standings with just two more stages to go at the 2025 Vuelta a España.
Stage 19 from Rueda to Guijuelo was a day for the sprinters with Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) beating Mads Pedersen (Lidl-Trek) in a bunch sprint, but for the overall contenders, the day was more about finishing safely in the field.
Vingegaard leads the overall classification by 44 seconds - having gained a previous four seconds in a time bonus at the intermediate sprint on the day - ahead of runner-up João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates-XRG).
Tom Pidcock (Q36.5 Pro Cycling) remains in third place overall, now 2:43 behind the red jersey.
There were no changes to the top 10 in the overall classification, with Jai Hindley (Red Bull–Bora-Hansgrohe) in fourth overall at 3:22. His teammate Giulio Pellizzari remains fifth at 4:23.
Matthew Riccitello (Israel-Premier Tech) is positioned in sixth overall at 5:21, while Felix Gall (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) is in seventh overall at 5:24.
Sepp Kuss (Visma-Lease a Bike) heads into the final weekend of racing in eighth at 7:30, while Torstein Træen (Bahrain Victorious) remains ninth at 7:46.
Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike) kept 10th place overall at 10:21.

Maillot Rojo/Red Jersey – The red jersey is worn by the overall race leader on the general classification who has completed the stages so far in the lowest accumulated time.
Maillot Verde/Green Jersey – The green jersey is the points classification. Points are awarded to riders at the intermediate sprints and stage finishes. The rider with the most points leads the ranking.
