Merckx: Evenepoel should ride the Giro d’Italia

All-time great Eddy Merckx has weighed in on the debate regarding Remco Evenepoel and whether he should take part in the Giro d’Italia or Tour de France in 2023, telling his fellow Belgian in no uncertain terms that he should take part in the Italian Grand Tour.

Evenepoel’s decision about whether to head for Italy or France next summer has apparently already been made, although the QuickStep-AlphaVinyl racer will only make it public next January.
