Race organisers RCS Sport have designed a race that suits the sprinters, with only stage three including two late climbs.
16 teams and a total of 128 riders will be in action, including world road race champion Rui Costa (Lampre-Merida), world time trial champion Tony Martin (Omega Pharma-Quickstep), Fabian Cancellara (Trek Factory Racing), Mark Cavendish (Omega Pharma-Quickstep), Peter Sagan (Cannondale) and Marcel Kittel (Giant-Shimano).
